Australia over the Christmas break 2026–2027
Dutch winter meets Australian summer. Keep a short long-haul trip focused and distinguish the southern cities from the tropical north.

Fourteen days include the long flights
The Dutch break is 19 December–3 January. Match your flights and the change of local date to the school calendar before booking. Fourteen days in the calculator include outbound and return travel; they are not fourteen full days on location. Choose one area, for example around Sydney or Melbourne, rather than a continent-wide checklist.
Summer differs by region
Tourism Australia places summer in December–February. The tropical north has a wet season rather than the same four-season pattern as southern cities. Check current local conditions and access notices for your route. An Australian summer label does not guarantee beach weather, open roads or mobile reception everywhere.
Activate for the arrival you actually make
Check whether validity begins on installation, activation or connection before preparing the eSIM. Long travel and time-zone changes can otherwise consume part of a short plan. Save addresses and transfer instructions offline. If you connect through another country, do not assume the Australia plan includes that stop; compare it separately if you need data there.
