Cruise, ferry and maritime

Separate connectivity on land, coastal cellular coverage and a dedicated onboard network. A country plan does not prove coverage at sea.

Use cases in this guide

  • Cruise holiday
  • Ferry trip
  • Private boat near the coast
  • Commercial shipping and offshore

We do not yet show confirmed, comparable offers for this use case. Use the checks below when speaking with your manufacturer, installer or provider.

Check before choosing

  1. Ask whether your exact ship, cruise operator and route are included. Check availability at sea and in ports separately.

  2. Establish whether the plan uses a maritime cellular network or requires a separate Wi-Fi or satellite product.

  3. Check your home SIM’s roaming settings to avoid unintended ship-network use. Follow the provider and ship operator instructions.

Compare the complete cost

Compare the same itinerary and sailing days, not just the country count. Separate onboard rates, caps, Wi-Fi and equipment.

For commercial vessels, availability, antennas and support belong in the quote. A holiday eSIM is not a proven business maritime solution.

Ask the provider

Are my exact ship and route included, which connection works at sea and what is the total price?

Take this question, your device model, countries and usage to the provider.

Backup internet

A backup connection must work when your main connection fails. Buying a SIM alone does not create a working failover solution.
