Alarms and security

First ask the installer or monitoring centre to confirm the required connection. An ordinary data plan may omit essential functions.

Use cases in this guide

  • Intruder alarm with IP reporting
  • Gate and access control by SMS
  • Voice intercom
  • Fire alarm reporting
  • Lift and emergency communication

We do not yet show confirmed, comparable offers for this use case. Use the checks below when speaking with your manufacturer, installer or provider.

Check before choosing

  1. Record brand, model, alarm protocol and required data, SMS and voice features. Check how messages reach the monitoring centre.

  2. Confirm requirements for networks, fault detection, backup connectivity and power. A second SIM needs suitable hardware and configuration.

  3. Agree who monitors connectivity and resolves incidents. Test activation, alarm delivery and recovery with the installer.

Compare the complete cost

Include installation, SIMs, monthly fees, monitoring, SMS/voice and support. Ask about faults, replacement and cancellation.

A cheap data SIM does not demonstrate that the complete alarm service meets your installation requirements.

Ask the provider

Has our installer and monitoring centre approved this SIM for this model, and who monitors the connection?

Take this question, your device model, countries and usage to the provider.
