IoT and sensors
Start with the device and its communication pattern. Small sensor readings can still generate traffic from registration and reconnections.
Device and purchase checks
Open buying guideFirst establish who manages connectivity: the charger manufacturer, the management platform or you. Independent SIM choice is not guaranteed.
We do not yet show confirmed, comparable offers for this use case. Use the checks below when speaking with your manufacturer, installer or provider.
Ask the manufacturer and operator which modem, network and SIM profile are required. Check support and warranty when using your own SIM.
Record traffic for transactions, monitoring, updates and alerts. Ask how the charger behaves while disconnected.
Test reception at the installation site. Record remote management, secure access and responsibility for faults.
Compare per charging point and per business. Include SIMs, activation, management platform, fixed fees, data and installation.
Ask about minimum fleet size, term, replacement and switching management providers. A SIM tariff is not the total charger cost.
May we use our own SIM, and what are the complete connectivity and management costs per charging point?
Take this question, your device model, countries and usage to the provider.
